The leggy fellow had actually gotten himself stuck on top of a waterlily leaf so I didn't feel too bad about capturing him and plunking him in a goldfish bowl. I got him a few friends, too, one of whom is half-buried in the mud on the left. It's early for the frog tadpoles to have legs. Usually the toads start emerging from the pond first, but this year it looks like the frogs will beat them.

PP - converted from RAW, cropped a bit, white balance, shifted color a little, cloned out some distracting junk in the water (pond water is chock full of stuff), cloned out a bit of fishbowl, resized, Topaz Simplify (edge/detail boost), Topaz Detail.

this is neat. I love the way all the shimmery gold flecks are painted. (I spent part of the last two days inspecting our own 'poles in the murky pond).
