Beautiful Janine! We have burrowing owls here in Colorado too, but you can only get about 150 feet and then they fly away. Very hard to get any decent shot of them but you managed to get the whole family! Congrats on the yellow!

Adorable. Congratulations, Janine.

(I do agree on the saturation - even if the grass is VERY green there at this time of year, I think the image would be improved by reducing and maybe darkening slightly the greens).

Hello from the critique club

An appealing image that contributes well to the challenge

Ah, a welcome return to these fascinating birds, I do love these owls, its especially nice to see the young too. Your composition is very effective, I love the way all the young are posing directly at the camera, you’ve got them well trained! I see from the DOF and the aperture that you were at the higher end of your lens, just as well you didn’t have to get too close. The only thing that mars it for me is that the grass feels over saturated. Anyway, congratulations on the ribbon, a lovely image Janine.

Oh my what a treat! I've never seen these before. Nice shot and looks like spring has sprung. I don't know if this was taken as a soft shot which may be the case, but I would like to have seen it just a little sharper. Still a nice shot. 7
