Depends.
The chairs have all come alive. See all the chairs looking at the teacher in front, and the stragglers coming in.

The quiet here is made palpable by removing teacher, students or participants and all the voices. Also the music, as evidenced by the music stand and piano. It's a clever way to evoke silence. The visual pleasure, for me, is drawn from the rhythm of the empty chairs.
