Looks purple instead of red or pink to me.

But what really hurts is the distracting elements. The metal clamp thingy on the left. The bright white blown out areas. Maybe moving around the flower a bit more to find a composition without what I assume is a window would help.

Oh no! The white balance! If you would have kept the white balance warmer, this would be a stronger image to me.

I like that you have symmetry, with just a little sass to it.

All I need is a good book, a soft blanket, chocolates and sun.

Firstly, I can see what you are going for here, and you have something really good to build on. But I would like to offer some constructive input to help take this photo from mundane to more exciting.

1. The lighting here is very flat, and underexposed. Looks like it's just normal overhead lighting with no direction to it. This makes it so the background is just as prominent as the subject.

2. The three objects are competing for attention. I feel like the hat has the most visual interest, so I would focus more on that, while allowing the other objects to become supporting elements. I would do this by changing my position so I was lower to the ground. Then I would use a shallower depth of field to make sure the bow is in focus, and the rest goes out of focus.

3. Finally, I would choose to position the objects differently. In this photo, they all lean to the left, which makes it feel like the right side of the image is heavy. Either the book or the chocolate box tilted the other way would help balance the image visually.

I truly hope this helps you!

I would love to see a little more of that pink shine through. But really nice photo.

That's amazing work, especially in the minimal editing ruleset.

Overall, good direction. Decent light. I think it would be great if you used a smaller aperture to get both the mouth and sucker in focus.

When photographing something like this, I like to have my focus hit the flowers nearest the camera. Otherwise, the eyes hunt for what is in focus, instead of being led through the image.

One of the hardest things to do with red is to deal with over saturation. Here, we see it taking shape, giving a neon glow to the flower.

So quirky! If the light on the model was brighter, I would give this more points.
