To Sherpetby mariucaComment by Lydia: I love your design! I think Sherryl would have too.
I wish the heart were perfectly centered to make this a top pick, though. |

Vertebratesby mariucaComment by Neat: Originally posted by mariuca: Originally posted by Bear_Music: We'd LOVE to know what this actually IS, the scale of it. Brilliant entry! |
Thanks Robert, Roz, Anita and Tim for the accolade.
It was a segment and its shadow of the underside of a stair. A glance and one click of the camera. Like always, one shot of the first impression. The shadows are the risers, the treads the black portions of their undersides. |
Wow I'm even more impressed now~ |

Vertebratesby mariucaComment by mariuca: Originally posted by LevT: Congrats on your blue, Mariuca! Great entry! (but I would call it "vertebrae") |
Lev I stick to my "vertebrates" (just semantics);
1. Having a backbone or spinal column.
2. Of or characteristic of vertebrates or a vertebrate.
n.
Any of numerous chordate animals of the subphylum Vertebrata, characterized by a segmented spinal column and a distinct well-differentiated head. The vertebrates include the fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
"Vertebrae" is only one section: n, pl -brae (-briː) or -bras
(Anatomy) one of the bony segments of the spinal column |
