Thank you all for the comments, and your appreciation for this image. It has been nearly 8 years since I started on DPC. Having come back from a very long hiatus, I'm thrilled to be seeing my first ribbon and a new PB that's well above anything else I've ever shot.

You know, I actually have a wider crop and I cut it down. Upon reflection I think I went in a little too close, and that exacerbates the cramped-ness. Thanks for this feedback.

This was one of a handful of 7s for me. I am a huge fan of the minimalism here, and it's so utterly different from almost every other submission.

Like MaryO, though, what I didn't care for was the crop. It would be hard to be so lucky to make an image where that was entirely avoidable, but you've done well with what you were given.
