Lots of positive and encouraging comments, thank you.

Holy Island is indeed a magical place, we have spent many breaks here over the years and it never lets us down. When the tide comes in and the visitors leave it is the best place in the world to be.

Home to a large population of seals, oystercatchers, and other seabirds. Oh, and unpredictable weather.

Thank you to those who gave useful comments, I welcome any genuine feedback.

For those whom insults and rudeness or adolescent toilet humour dominates their tiny minds, you can crawl back under your stones now.

It’s comments like the latter that deter posters from this forum.

The connection is there, I saw it straight away, but obviously it was too subtle for most people

I loved this image. So different from the usual 'safe' post.

It's hard today to make an image that stands out technically, modern digital camersas are that good. Some photographers deliberately trash camera control to create a retro look, usually with unattractvely blurred results, others turn to specialist filters. Sticking your head up your backside and pretending to be offended when such filters are used is silly when such good results are obtained, and instead of slamming creativity we ought to be embracing and exploring these tools like we would with any other new innovation in photography.

Next time, hesitate longer.
