Parking lotby bsluijkComment by Ann: It's odd, I'm fixated on the tire tracks. I sat here for a very long time not making sense of them, wondering why they would have backed down the driveway, then turned around and parked facing the wall.
Then I realized that the tracks were from the previous cars leaving. |

First attempt at a panoramaby bsluijkComment by ciaeagle: Love it! This is beautiful ... so calm and peaceful yet so many things to look at. I'll be back with my lawn chair and a cold one to relax off camera and chill for a while. |

Domino pipsby bsluijkComment by cowboy221977: clever...I almost overlooked the "13"...however if you had included one more domino in the background you would have "13" in 2 different ways. Good shot. |

Horseby bsluijkComment by pixelpig: This is my opinion only--the light serves to define the object clearly--and that' all that is happening in this comp. To get a high score from me, the light must interact with the subject, for example, to help me imagine the legs, or to make it irrelevant that it has no legs. A photo of un objet d'art does not necessarily create an art photo.
The interaction of the light with the subject is something I'm trying to learn myself, so I am looking for it in every photo I see. Here is some light interacting with a horse, at least to my eye.

Break freeby bsluijkComment by nam: You may or may not be aware that this is one of the photos being used in the online "publications" referenced here: DPC forum thread on LBNelert
I noticed it when I was searching for my own. There were so many from DPC that I could not document them all - if you want to have it removed, see posts from LydiaToo and Mike_311 on p. 5 of the forum thread. To locate it more easily, check both blogs and the main newsletter, starting with the dates when this challenge was in voting or shortly thereafter. |
