The Capeby JakeKurdsjukComment by mariuca: As close to a classic of street photography as an image can be.
Sort of a Pippi Longstocking encounter.
This is a fraction of a second of stillness that might pass invisible in our perception had it not been captured and frozen in a felicitous moment; not too intense but inducing a mental processes. What could be the next succession of events? Something bad can happen or something really comical or the whole thing won’t lead anywhere and was just a fleeting juxtaposition of elements without any connection between themselves and without any consequence.
This is a “photograph of possibilities” in the same way as (the Italian director) Antonioni’s films were defined as “cinema of possibilities”
I am taken by the sauciness of the girl and I love the greyness of a newspaper image. |
