In looking at this image, it really does capture you. I might not call it vivid but the contrast of the warm skin framed within the dark warm hair and the cooler blue of the coat surrounded by the cooler background allows for her to stand out a bit more. The eyes seem to have been over treated and have lost a bit of depth/shadow that creates contrast/shape. Overall it is a nice image. Yet it is just a portrait. There could be a sharper clarity within the model as well as a stronger separation of background. There is something I like about the background, the lines and such, yet it melds in with the fly-away hairs and creates a blurred feel on the viewer's eyes. Though come the end of the day she does capture attention.

I was looking at this earlier. It really does not make any sense to me. Also I feel that with so much visible it make be taking away from the actual image. The colours and clarity are nice but it just does not give me anything of interest. I have a complete disconnect to the image.

I enjoy the curve of the water, the horizon line appears straight and is not in the center of the image. The colours are a bit muted however and do not pop for me. However the clarity is nice and the composition is nice. May be a bit heavy on the right but still nice. I will bump your score slightly for this.

Cute snapshot. Though the tonal quality appears a bit flat and does not really pop for me. Specially with the selective focus used to blur out the rest of the image. Overall it is cute for the owners but not for me.

Nice concept. Though for me there is something missing. Her skin appears plastic, overly smoothed and for me is a bit bright on her hand against the darks of the image. It is fun, creative but just not enough for me.

Cute little bugger eating a snack. For me though it appears a bit flat and the focal range distracts me with the clarity along the top of the head to the painted-like feel on the body. The separation is nice along the paws, but no so much along the rest.

I enjoy this concept. However I am curious as to why so much white-space at the bottom of the image? With less white-space and a stronger compositional organization of crop this could be a really fantastic image. I do enjoy the concept and the black/white treatment works well.

Nice clean portrait. Sly little smile. Though center composition distracts me as does the minimal separation between hair and background. It is nice, but for me it just is not fantastic. With so many portraits in this challenge there needs to be something extra special.
