Nobody remembers second place.

So might as well be 0, right?

Excellent. Not sure if opening the shadows would have helped, but that's one thing I would try if it were my photo.

Exceptional capture. Good depth of field. Sharp. Might be better to crop the right side off or have more of the eagle?

Comment:
Striking photograph. Would have tried cropping the top part off? Also, because the subject color and the background color are so similar, perhaps only saturate the subject and not the background? Just some suggestions... Great expression on the cat.

Comment:
Instead of white snow, the underexposure has caused the snow to look more like dust or soot, giving it a errie sense of doom. Not sure if this is the intended mood...

Interesting composition, but the human eye is trained to like things in triples -- try cutting one level off and you'll see! :)

The blue off to the right is slightly distracting...

In cases like this I (for my own photos) like to have the animal on the right side of the picture so that it doesn't look as if the animal is heading out of the frame... but this is personal preference...

Difficult to tell that it's an eagle. Perhaps move towards the side? Also, if you shifted yourself to the right so that the eagle falls between two flags it may look better.

Comment:
Might be better to shift the frame up to include the hump of the bison and less of the ground. Increase the contrast to make it even more striking.
