Tillandsia usneoidesby Yo_SpiffComment: This was one of my favorites in this challenge. Unique and well processed. I wonder how it would have done if the concentration (main subject) was only the lower part (just below the tangled 'something' in the upper third)? Would have had that stem on the left by itself then, but that could be removed. Anyway, nice find and well presented. |

A View Of The Past Brought Into The Presentby BarronessComment: I like the lines in this ... the wall sending me into the background building. Pleasing comp overall. My immediate thought when this loaded was it felt slightly tilted to the right. The foreground building is level (vertical line on wall is straight) but the rear building appears canted.
In general here, puffy clouds and blue skies, don't rise to the top very often. This scene does beg for some harsher, more creative processing applied I think.
Very nice location - hope you can visit this a few more times and get some different angles / perspectives / lighting scenarios, etc. |

background layersby NiallOTuamaComment: I've enjoyed much of your work and find it overall refreshing and a throwback to what 'art' in photography is or can be. However, that said, this one didn't speak to me at all in that way. I think I enjoy (need) something that is recognizable in the presentation to tell the story better. Didn't feel a story or connection with this one at all. |

Almost Doneby barrett_bearComment: Now I get the title. Sorry about losing your good friend. Hard to tell from the photo, but he doesn't appear to be elderly or out of shape.
As for the photo, B&W was a good choice. I also like the line on the road as a 'leading line' so to speak. Do think that maybe a bit off the top, and a small crop to the left, would have created a little better dynamic with the comp. Putting him off-center and allowing the curve of the road and line to play a little stronger. |

Into the Night & Mists...by NikonJebComment: What sign?! Honestly, I didn't even see it when it came up for voting, and even now, after looking for it, it's barely an item at all. |

Charlotteby Yo_SpiffComment: Hmmppf. Had this as one of top picks. The geometry ... placement of the primary subjects within, etc., all works well IMO. Strong image. |

Bottles Blueby jomariComment: Who doesn't love blue bottles? :-P Nice lighting. Background is interesting, but a tad strange at the same time. Can't put my finger on it. May come back and look again. Good luck. |

Old woodby hajekaComment: I think you have something with the bowl. The background is a little busy IMO. I'd hang onto this prop for some future use for sure. Very unique and photogenic. |
