I think you should've gotten the red, though - your shot is superior to mine, both photographically and in terms of processing.

Thank you to all the voters and commenters! I don't have a lot of experience with macro photography, so you know I'm overjoyed with how well it did, and with such praise from IreneM. This was one of maybe 20-30 shots of just this bee (itself one of many that I chased around), and really the only one that was in focus and had an acceptable amount of motion blur (there is some visible at 100%). The composition was mostly achieved through cropping, since I had little time to compose while shooting.

Black piece at the top-left seems to be the bottom part of a jacket.
Going down from there, there's a thigh oriented straight down the left edge of the image.
Further down, the knee... and the bottom part of the leg goes toward the middle of the image, ending in a dark (black?) shoe.
