Congrats on the yellow, teammate! Hopefully this is the beginning of a streak... I sure as hell wouldn't mind high placements like these :)

She has so much more personality (and is so much better looking) in your shots than in the others on Model Mayhem. Especially compared to her lingerie/bikini shots, which you'd think would be sexier... yours are way beyond those.

They should kick out the other people in the media tower and take you instead!

Only Critique: Maybe a 1/250 shutter with ISO 400 would've yielded more effective (speedy) results? Also would've made the shot less noisy/more saturated. I'm sure it would've been 10x harder though because your panning would've had to be 100% accurate... and yes, I understand you didn't have much time to shoot, either.

There's a new Micro-Nikkor with VR (image stabilization). But I see you shoot Canon...

What an amazing abstract, definitely deserving of a ribbon. I just can't stop looking, it's hypnotizing!

PS: Isn't a Series E technically not a Nikkor?

This is very nice. As coryboehne said, fill flash would've helped. However, it sometimes makes the background look a lot warmer because the camera changes the white balance to compensate for the blueness of the flash.

I think shots like this work better from the side. I have one like that (not in my DPC portfolio) and with the right composition, it's very striking.

The foreground grass is very bright and saturated, but the face is not. Maybe up the saturation and lightness in the face, and lower it in the grass?

It DID make it to the top! Congrats! I'm a sucker for violins (been playing for ...14 years?), so that makes it even better for me. I don't have anything to say about the shot, it's just the perfect violin shot to me.
