At The Train Stationby esdarbyComment: This has a great personal vibe to it. I love the high-tone skin and what i believe to be the reflection on the ground in a puddle??? The model is beautiful and I like the way she is enguaged with the camera. The contrast of the bacground brings humanity to it. 7 |

Battlefield Skyby autoolComment: This is a great shot- but on my screen the black is only at about 80% - -the shame is that your monitor is probably different and it looks 100%. this is a phenomena everywhere that kills me because I have 3 monitors between work and home and even when using just one I sometimes get different results when saving for web. ... anyway .. back to your photo: I would also have rotated to make the horizon straight. It's a valient effort and there is somethign stirring about it that is really grabbing me. 8 |

Pigeon Headedby briantammyComment: there is something really different and amazing about this. I think there is a human quality to the bird that makes him/her more emotional or something. The crop is perfect and the pole in the dstance --- just very unique and well done. The title doesn't matter but I would call it something more dramatic. I'd be curious to know where / how this was taken. PS: I hope the bird is real :) ... 9 |

Illuminationby xuan768Comment: this looks like one of those images that looks different on many monitors but looking closely I can see the mysterious feeling and color here.
I think the angle and crop lack drama though - but I see where you're going with this. i dig it. 6 |

Memories of Summerby jimmythefishComment: I'm tring to put a finger on why this is so ikeable ... I think the extreme contrast from sun to shadow and then to the extreme dark shadow on the left and in the distance creates drama. The over-hill horizon feeling adds to the emotion like heading up a roller coaster. You did well not to oversharpen this since it is more about light than the details of the objects. Very nice. 9 |

Snowy Egretby ubiquitousComment: People at dpc like to say that centered images are not as good as images that are using the rule of thirds - this is arguable in theory and on this photo ... I'm not really sure - but i think this might be both - if cropped just a smidge tighter - the lighting is great and the bird and tailfeathers are interesting and detailed -- I've found these birds to be quite cooperative in photos :) 7 |
