The long black background does nothing to improve the feeling of the picture. It would have felt the same if it were cropped shorter.

Kind of grainy in the darks, needs a bit of tweaking with the contrast. The out-of-focus branch in the lower right corner doesn't help the picture either. Nice capture though, beautiful bird.
