Excellent composition! It just goes to show that you sometimes only show a portion of an object or image to invoke an idea or image in the viewer's head. This instantly makes me think of Frodo and his quest in the LOTR. The spring of green in the shot adds a dash of vibrant color and also adds a little more interest in the shot. I am a little disappointed that you did not play with the potential symbolism for the overall shot. The viewer notices the ring after the foot and the green sprig. The Ring is lost is the hues of the yellows and browns of the ground cover and is not readily noticed. Tis may be good or bad depending on one's interpretation (the ring is hidden and needs to be found for a counter example). But I do think the ring really needs to be noticed more for it is of vital import for this composition to move from good to great. I mentioned that the spring of green symbolism needed to be played up more. Green and plant life represent growth, a promise for the future and hope. All this symbolism would be much more palpable and powerful if the ring (an object representing evil and destruction) was laying directly under the spring such that that one of the leave's tips appears to be pointing at it.

I really like the concept you put here! The apple of course invokes thought about the apple from the tree of knowledge as well as the female breast invokes the idea of Eve. The apple also makes me think of the absent Adam - as that we have heard the phrase "Adam's apple". While the concept is brilliantly done I think that there is room for improvement on the overall photo. I think if you had a starker contrast background - say a bright white instead of the blueish white tone - that the objects would really reach out and grab the viewer by the lapels and say "Notice me!". The other thing that might also help is that the apple be turned on it's side such that the "tip" seems to be going "head to head" against the tip of the woman's breast. The apple laying on it's side would be a different view but also it would visually show us and make us think automatically about "The Fall of Adam and Eve".

I like the composition on this photo. You have an arrangment of interesting objects to capture the eye's attention. The curve of the lines on the roof as the flow diagonally across invokes fluid motion - one that the eye follows and appreciates. Next to it the viewer can take in the sights of the blue sky and clouds. I know that this may not have been possible or you may not have had the time. But I wonder if you could have waited a little while such that the clouds were arranged all in the lower left hand corner. In that way it would look like the white clouds were a 'front' moving in on the 'weather front' of the "white curve' roof. A visual of a natural weather front going up against a man-made 'weather' front. Again it may not have been possible due to mother nature not being the best model to work with:-) and time constrants.

Very nice! I like how you composed the shot. The viewer is close-up to the Spoonbill and we can really get a good look at it's head/face. The eye then just naturally slides down at the diagonal to view that wonderful splash of pinks & hot pinks that add a vibrant dash of color to the overall photo.
