Raven on the limbby GunnsiComment: Another nice capture but I tend to think your version on display 'Raven' is better because it stands out, is more crisp and there are no intervening branches. |

Dísaby GunnsiComment: Beautiful close-up portrait and a gorgeous subject. I think this would do wonderfully in a 'high-key' challenge - the white background enhances the subtly warm hues in her hair and skin, and brings out the color of her eyes. Congratulations on really nice shot, Gunnsi, very professional looking! |

Pick a Peck a Peppersby Rae-AnnComment: I like this shot. My favorite part is the stems. It's an interesting crop and the lighting is balanced. I really would have predicted this to score better. I guess it's just that darn gummy yellow that softens the definition... for everyone shooting yellows. I propose a toast to yellowlessness, for a while anyway ;-) |

Ravenby GunnsiComment: This is a really nice capture. You achieved a great dof.
We have starlings, which are black but irridescent... and crows, but their shiny feathers give the appearance of color. I don't think I've ever really seen a raven, and certainly not up close. He is so very very black. I am wondering what would happen with thie photo if you upped the contrast a little, or possibly sharpened a little too. (It might not improve the picture, I'm just wondering about experimenting...) |

Cloudy Moonby GunnsiComment: I like it!! Impressive. I have lots of trouble getting good shots of the moon. The moonglow color here - this nice deep peachy hue, is really nifty, love it with the black clouds. Have you tried playing with Photoshop yet? You might put this shot as a background behind another picture (as a layer). Next time you have an interesting night photo with a subject on the ground... try it!! |

LEMONATORby NeuferlandComment: Aw shit, I was one of your 7's. I like the idea, I like that you had AN IDEA, and I think harsh lighting is appropriate for a Lemonator. Context is important. I hope you keep decide to keep shooting what you want to shoot. Don't just take pictures that please the blandness of the masses. Please yourself and please the artist and comedian in you. Cough ...fuggem :D |
