I find this very good. The entire story, the ignored messenger, the Woody Allen type a bit freaked out, the hustle and bustle .... Perhaps I find this image very familiar to me - an ubiquitous scene around Times Square in Manhattan - but a familiar scene does not make a good shot.

Looked at this a long time. Became fascinated by the hairless mannequins & the cafe crowd across the street, the traffic in the street. The Life in the street. At first I was impressed by the simple perfection of the black and white. After a while, it dawned on me that this is a Really Excellent Street Shot. Not an instant fav, because it took me a while to appreciate it. But definitely a fav. 10

I really like the setting and processing, but the people in the foreground are such a big part of the image, yet they don't really add to the drama of the image. Had somehow you gotten more out of the folks on the sidewalk, this image would have been a sure ribbon, as is its a top ten.

What great color!! You put that blowhole right smack in the center too!! I do think that the far away or from a distance concept was a little lost because you used a telephoto lens to bring the distance close to the viewer.

The reflections in the trombone are what really make this interesting. They are tell the tale that you are indeed far away, but I'm wondering how many people will miss that.
