Hello,

I'm interested to do something like this in the photo. It has a strip (transparent) at the bottom with the photographer's name on it. I tried to look for a tutorial online but I don't know what keyword to use in the search. I got many results that don't really pertain to my interest.

Thank you!

Assuming you use Photoshop,

1. Select the area you wish to become the "strip" (use the rectangular selection tool)

2. Edit > Fill

3. Choose White from the options

4. Set opacity to 20%

5. Click Ok..

6. Next, select the text tool and type in whatever you wish.

Done..

ETA: If you don't use Photoshop, then we need to know what program you are using.

I'm using Photoshop CS2. Thanks for the steps. I will try it at home!
