I was looking through a thread on FM about the name "Magic Drainpipe" for the 80-200 f/2.8L and came across a whole list of nicknames for different lenses that fstopjojo posted.
Just for fun:

Don't people refer to the some of the long white L-glass as "Big Canon"?
I can't remember if it was a specific one (maybe the 600) or if perhaps it was just a generic term of endearment.

The big white lenses are commonly referred to as "The Great Whites."
