Well today I went and visited the San Diego Renaissance Faire. It was very interesting. Almost straight from camera shots (did a bit of cropping) can be found at //tinyurl.com/haz79

Thanks Andy for suggesting it.

If anyone is inspired by Brians' effort find your local Renaissance faire here and mark your calender. Great place to try out candid shooting.

Great Job Brian...I know you got more Lasses than that... :)

Those re-enactment close-ups are great.

After mentioning it...I failed to make it out there (11th Anniversary Weekend...Even though I picked up a Canon SD 630 for the better half).

We get three RenFaires a year here in SanDag. Escondido has one in Spring and Fall (coming up in October) and this one at Balboa park. Always a fun shoot, never lets me down.

My boyfriend would like to know where the busty girls are.

be careful of what you ask for... some of the busty ones sell things...like pickles...this is from last years...she kept trying to get me to sample her pickle and have the wife get a picture of it...it wasn't gonna happen...

Gig Harbor, Washington just had the first weekend (out of three) of its fair.

It was hot, dusty and busy - but we enjoyed it a lot!

Thanks for the compliments. It was my first RenFaire, I'm definatly going to be looking for some back in NJ when I get home later this week.
And like you said, it was a fun shoot. Thanks again for suggesting it.

I have to look up when the Ren Faire hits Burlington this summer. It must be soon. Last summer I ended up dancing with a belly-dancer while balancing a sword on my head. :-D
