Decorah Eagles

Only 50,000+ people watching. Eggs (3) to hatch any day now. It's more fun to watch this nest than do the work I'm supposed to be doing. LOL!!!!!

LOL - thanks for reminding me of this one, Hahn23. I watched it for a couple of days, and then 'forgot' about it. I just turned it on, and I and my cat, VooDoo, are fascinated again.

First hatch is imminent. It could occur anytime today.

Thanks .. I am sitting here like the eagle, not doing anything watching the screen (nest) :)
and so are few more people at work!

Thanks for letting me know. I haven't seen this, yet. But, will look now. My wife says she saw three pips in one egg earlier this afternoon. I really like this stuff.

eta: Beats the heck out of watching miserable low scores coming in on my challenge entries. LOL!!!!

Baby eaglet by tomorrow. #1 of 3. Worth watching!

eta: Just flipped over the night infrared. 24/7 entertainment.

Nothing like live TV to keep your interest! hehe I'm keeping this on in the background and flip over to check it from time to time. I guess I should get up early in the AM to see the excitement!

my son (9) loves live webcams like this. i had to keep it "on" all day so he could check in periodically. :)

I've had a window open to this for two days...very interesting!

awwww... how come i just saw this like 5 min ago... :( And nothing is happening... just watching a single eagle sleep....

I just saw the first Eaglet!! I checked a couple of times overnight and the camera always showed the adult sleeping. Just a few minutes ago the adult got up and there was the Eaglet! It seems the eaglet was able to get out of it's shell even with the adult sleeping on top of if during the night. How cool!!

Oh, my! I just saw the first eaglet, too. What a cute little gray fuzzball! And, there was a pip hole in a second egg. The mom and dad do swap out on incubation duties. I think it's the dad on the nest this morning.

Fascinating...can't stop watching.

There's a little "cheep, cheep" in there this morning, (In addition to other bird conversation) that sounds like Baby Bird talk.

Ah, that's awesome, we just had a couple minutes of baby-eagle closeups :-)

Just got a few seconds glance at the little guy. How cool.

The camera seems to be down right now.
04/02/2011 01:32:52 PM · #22
Camera's still down. I read on their chat (before that service was shut off) that when views got up to 300,000 their viewing system crashed.

Watching that first little tyke flop around, working on figuring out wings, a movable head, and finding food from resident parent was just - well - amazing. I sure hope it gets back on line.

The Raptor Center has just posted a first 24 hour summary of the first eaglet hatching. It's about 10 minutes and is enchanting.
