Wow, that camera work on the Decorah nest is getting better every year.
Viewing of the feeding going on now is just remarkable.

Probably those who are interested in the Decorah Iowa eagles and their brand new offspring are already checking the site.
However, in case you missed the excitement, there are 3 hatchlings in the nest now, at 11, 10, and 8 days old.
Cute little things, still in their dress whites. they will be turning grey and entering that adolescent stage soon,
so this is a fine time to see the cuteness and transition.

(Well, not right this minute, as it's dark in Decorah)

I missed one day and that grey is really starting to show.

Tuned in a little while ago and Dad is missing. Apparently it happened last year too, so hopefully he'll return. I wonder what happened.

Drama continues in Decorah, Iowa. "Dad" has still not shown up or been found.
but "Mom" is feeding the chicks who are growing at their usual rapid pace.
An unidentified male Eagle has been near the nest and the operators of the
camera and observers are reserving opinions about why.

They are also searching with great intensity for "Dad".

Lordy, it seems like daytime television has infected the Eagle community.

Dad was really busy feeding the young a year ago. He'll be back next month.

And he said he was just "going out for cigarettes." Probably on a bender in some dive bar.

It's a total soap opera over in Decorah. Dad goes missing. Young male lurking around the nest. Mom cooking, shopping, cleaning, feeding...

Why is it sideways???

They seem to be a couple of days behind Decorah, sizewise.

The three eaglets are at an awkward stage presently, with gray feathers and lumpy bodies.
And then, soon, they will turn into those graceful birds that we admire so much!

It's still a single parent next with the female doing all the feeding and sheltering.

fascinating.
