While still in the preliminary stages, let's remember that DPC's 10th Anniversary is coming up in a couple of months.

January 14-15 to be exact.

So, think about marking your calendars and making plans. Time flies by quickly, these days.

South Florida thread.

This is an awesome idea. :)

As always, us Connecticutians will have to decide... Northeast to Boston or Southwest to New York!
I'm in though.

Now that's a good idea! We could have a Nordic countries GTG :)

Are some southern folks allowed? :) Looks like a great place to visit in the winter!

I'd be up to a Philly GTG, weather permitting, of course. ;D

Anyone in Seattle / Portland thinking on this?
11/09/2011 06:25:02 PM · #61
There's a nice, unpretentious motel around the corner from us on Cape Cod. I bet we could get a great bulk rate on a few rooms in mid-January, which is, as far as I'm concerned, a GREAT time to visit the Cape. Especially if we're lucky enough to get a good storm. Anyone interested in doing the New England portion on the Cape?

I'd be up for Seattle and/or possibly could trip down to Portland, depending on how many we can amass where.

You know everyone (globally) could simply bring some tents and camping gear and setup a DPC GTG camp in any public park for free as long as we have signs that say "99%" or "OWS" or "F*** the bankers" or something. ;-)

Oh, I can just see it now: "Occupy Yosemite!" "Occupy the Grand Canyon!" "Occupy Fort Sumter!" ROFL

This would be the easy option. But Florida in January is quite tempting...

I know, I've even been offered a place to stay! LOL! Right Julianne? Seriously, if things turn around here (crossing my fingers but not counting on it) then I'll be booking a flight. It all depends on hubby getting a TWIC card.

Is there a Texas thread for this? If not Kat really needs to get moving! ;-)

Well, I know when I've been thrown under the bus, rofl! Ok, we need to get a TX thread going and see how much interest we can garner! Lots of DPCers in the area...can include OK and LA if they want to show (or anyone that wants to for that matter!)

Or we could meet in the middle? Connecticut has some cool landscapes, I'm sure. I'd prefer something with lots of people (or even a tag-along model) for portrait opportunities 'cause I suck at landscapes! That said, I may or may not be in the area in January because that's when that Yuri Arcurs thing is going on.

Any of you Coloradoans in? Hmmm?

I would love to go to America and meet as many friends as possible. But I am not sure if America is south or east of Rome.
