No problem mate, there will always be delays, as long as the next in line knows when how and why it is never a problem.. hopefully you can still shoot a few with the legendary Penguin.

Lost as to how to find Lost.

SugarSync is working? Got an e-mail today telling me PennyStreet has updated the folder, but I see nothing in her folder. What folder should I be looking in?

Blog born but has already folded? FB page?

What's the best way to keep track of this guy? Why aren't photos just posted here?

A concerned fan.

I think the idea is to post high-resolution versions at SugarSync for later use in a book-type project, possibly printed. I agree lower-res versions should just be (and have been) posted here ...

I keep starting a post and never finishing it, so without the story I had intended here are a selection of photos from his time in York - the rest can be found in my portfolio:

At York Minster:

Receives a history lesson and joins the campaign to have the recently discovered bones of King Richard Third interred at York Minster:

Lost was disappointed to find the Treasurer's house closed, but was happy to pose in front of it:

By St William's College:

Learning about stone masonry:

Observing the renovation work outside the Minster: [thumb]1058930
[/thumb]

By the Roman Column:

Walking down Stonegate Lost contemplates the idea of another beer, but I told him it was too early, and as had a bit of a hangover, it wasn't a good idea - even if Ye Olde Starre Inn is an excellent -and VERY old pub: Further down Stonegate he was alarmed to discover captives in a shop window: and even more surprisingly, a naked mermaid:

The Easter Eggs in the window of Betty's tearoom looked very pretty:

The steps up to Clifford's Tower were exhausting for such a little penguin: but the slide down was fun: Back at the bottom he received another history lesson:

Later he went down to the river: where he posed in front of the 800 year old Postern Tower:

He was surpised to find a windmill on a roundabout in the centre of a 1930s suburban street!

That evening he went to join a group of mad knitters in the local real ale pub where he sampled yet more of the beer that Yorkshire has to offer:

Elated to see all the activity in the life of "Lost."
Thanks, Sara, for all the pictures.

Now, would someone please give me (or review) the instructions for getting at our account
called SugarSync?

I get daily updates on Shared Folder Activity, but danged if I can figure out how to access all these nice
pictures referenced in that daily update, like these below (and more) that were received today:
untitled-0724.jpg was edited by pennystreetblues@yahoo.com
untitled-0723.jpg was edited by pennystreetblues@yahoo.com
untitled-0717.jpg was edited by pennystreetblues@yahoo.com

Of course, there are many more from the travels of "Lost". And it's driving me nuts to not see them!

At some point you should have gotten an email with a link which would allow you to register and view/upload to the shared folder, as well as to your own folder (free online storage for you).

Yep, I registered a long time ago, but I still don't know how to use the service!
:(
that's why I'm hoping someone will chime in and show how. Or provide a link.

Sara, are you sure you didn't feed Lost too much beer? He may be hiding somewhere sleeping off a hangover!

I think the Norwegian customs took one sniff at the box and got very, very cagey...

Has he still not arrived - it must be two weeks since he was posted; I guess the bank holidays don't help.

OK, sfalice, here's what I just did.

google 'sugarsync' - sugarsync login - then log in, which I presume (never presume) you can do ok

toolbar at the top of the ss page says: CLOUD /// SHARING /// ACTIVITY - hit *sharing*

little menu under sharing says: SHARED BY ME /// SHARED WITH ME /// CONTACTS - hit *shared with me*

yer man Tome has shared the lost file with us all

if this don't work, keep squealing.

He's just arrived. I went out to the postbox between posting in this thread. I'll pick him up in an hour or so.

I did go to the folder and I did view Sara's photos.... and I tried to move them to her folder (thought I would help things by sorting). So, I can't access sugar sync from work, which is where I am now. Sorry. Tome, can you please check to make sure I didn't mess something up? Sara are your photos still there? If everything looks okay, please disregard any emails you get from me because I didn't post any new pictures and didn't know I sent any emails.

The sign up for this side challenge was closed in February - due to the already very long list of participants. The travelling times between countries are quite long and right now it seems it will be already quite far into next year before he completes his visits.

Oh, just to let the next few hosts aware, he had a bath when he was me (and looks much smarter for it), but he really wasn't keen on the experience! A good idea to try not to let him get too muddy when he is out exploring. It is also a good idea to take something to help him stand up straight - he has a tendency to get a bit tired and fall over.

Actually, thinking about it, the falling over part might have had something to do with the ammount of good proper Yorkshire beer he tested...

:) But I'll bet he enjoyed it nonetheless. Let's see if he can manage a shot or two of Finnish vodka when he get's here.
