Since we seem to have a few threads going on about Amazon deals that are "timing" dependent, I thought it might be a good idea to have a single thread you could subscribe to, and hopefully, people will post the deals here so we catch them.

Second motivation for posting...I just noticed that at 2:50 pm, there's another one of interest, and I didn't want to start a new thread just for that.

Starting at 2:50 PM EST on Amazon - Datacolor Spyder4Pro S4P100 Colorimeter for Display Calibration
(deal price unknown)

Awesome! A new monitor calibration tool is exactly what I was planning on getting myself for Christmas.

By the way, I just won a Canon Pixma Pro-1 printer in a photography contest at Popular Photography magazine. I'm not sure that I really need a $1000 printer and I am thinking about selling it unopened as soon as it arrives. Whether or not I keep it, I do need to have better monitor calibration.

I'm curious as to how you know in advance about upcoming sales.

edit to add: Aha! I found them on the preview page.

Great deal on those 94 MB/s SD cards. I just picked up the 16GB for $14.

Note, the read speed is rated at 94MB/s, the write speed is rated at 45 MB/s.

Sorry, I don't have the links...Amazon has a lightning deal for Fuji X-S1 going on right now. Also, they have a lightning deal for Lytro cameras starting at 1pn PST, if anyone is interested in that thing.

The only sad part of this thread is that as a European I can't get these deals... :/

Wait, or it's the best part considering that my wife won't kill me for buying new stuff? :)

Requires a 64-bit OS and 8GB of RAM? I'm out. I merely have 4GB of RAM and a puny 32-bit OS.

But I downloaded it anyway. 'Cause it's FREE.

This is awesomeness. I was using the free version of PE4 (quite limited) and then had the beta of PE8 for months and loved it, but didn't want to spend $100 on it, I used it for certain specific types of images only. Now I've got it, licensed and installed. It's a wonderful program.
