Congratulations to Glasseye for their victory in the DPL Season 3 playoffs. The team had a really impressive showing in the final round where they took first and second place ribbons in both the Dirty, Filthy, Grubby Stuff and The End challenges. Everyone else did amazingly well also, with 4 teams going undefeated in regular rounds!

Overall, Season 3 seemed to be a great success. Participation was up 33-47% across the site compared with the months preceeding Season 3.

I've compiled some statistics below:

Challenges during DPL: 14
Entries submitted to DPL challenges: 1,898
Votes cast on DPL challenge entries: 183,246
Comments made on DPL challenge entries: 10,026

Feel free to leave feedback about what you liked and didn't like about Season 3 so that we can make appropriate adjustments in the future.

See you next season!

I really enjoy working with a team. We have a common goal with different means of getting there. Really fun -- and as easy as that, I'm obsessed with DPC again! =)
I do wonder if this will maybe be a twice-a-year thing ...

Thanks, Langdon! It was a fun journey. I'll miss it for a while. Being part of a group, no matter what the final score, bringing members together. It's a good feeling.

I would like to see the season either repeated or lengthened...it really seemed very short

Love the event, win or lose its not about that it is always about the participation, working with others, learning new styles & techniques and I had a great time as always, so bring on season 4, I hope they do eventually automate it into the site.

Thanks to all involved.

Congratulations to Glasseye for the win, and everyone else who participated. It was my first DPL and I certainly hope it won't be my last.

Thank you, Langdon for setting up this superb tournament which certainly engaged many of the DPC community.

I've been around for all three of them now, and eagerly look forward to the fourth.

PS. Oh yes, improvements. All that's needed now is to encourage the participants to VOTE!
Whether through an incentive program or some other means, "if you play, you vote!"

Season 3 was a blast and great to see everyone again....Congratulations Glasseye! I guess I'll be going back in to retirement and will see everyone in a couple of years...We average about 4 years between seasons right?

Is there a way to transfer my membership to someone who could get more use out of it?

I think that DPL is a great thing for the site overall. I'd like to float the idea that we have two seasons a year, one starting in January, the other in July. That way, we have a little break between seasons, and still get in some good competition. The pre-scheduled start points will let folks plan a little, and encourage folks to stay around.

Thank you, Langdon!

Congratulations, GlassEye Team!

Congratulations, in fact, to every team member who contributed weekly to their team both with an entry and with discussion.

That's what teamwork is about!

I had a great time.

I'd also like to do it on a scheduled basis... so we all know when it's coming and folks will make sure to be here for them.

This was the first DPL Season I took part and I enjoyed it tremendously.
Thanks to all in charge - especially Langdon - for offering this "game"

Congrats to the winning team GlassEye!!!
This was the only team which could resist our witchcraft, hehe ;-)
Congrats to all teams who took part - I was impressed about the obviously great teamwork in many respects

What made DPL so special for me was getting closer contact to the photographers in our team. I was honored to have such affable people in our team who were extremely comitted to give their best und to support the group. Thank you, my dear members!

I have no real suggestion for improvement, though it took me some time to figure out how everything worked in this season. I liked the flexibility of 9 members with only 4 entries counting - in my experience there are always circumstances that cause unplanned outages. And finally: I would like to participate again - no matter if on a regular base or just random

Ach, it was nothing....

Unfortunately, so were my points!
