This is a thread for photographers to indicate that they welcome all comments, and for commenters who need to know which photographers are interested in all comments. Everyone agrees to be direct but civil & not give SC any reason to spring into corrective action.
If you're willing to have your challenge entries commented on, put your name in. I'll maintain the list. Anyone who wants to comment on one of your challenge entries can post the image to this thread. For the purpose of maintaining everyone's numbers, comments should be posted to the image (not this thread).
Comments/suggestions re this thread are welcome.

Isn't that the concept of DPChallenge: Votes & Comments / Feedback at any time?

It's in response to the discussion in this thread. It's an attempt to make "the concept" a little more obvious, and to get around one of the causes of the hesitancy some people seem to have about commenting.

I'm with Barry. Except I sort of understand, but it sends me into a pitch of woe that commenting freely is not a given.
I think I would prefer to just bitch and complain about not getting feedback on a SPECIFIC entry. |

For that you can start a new thread in the "Individual Photo Discussion" section ... AFAIK there is no limit on the number of such threads you can create.

I agree, but I think we're trying to do something to reverse the trend -- the ultimate goal would be to have everyone sign up in this thread and just appreciate all comments, even (especially?) those with which they disagree ... that would eliminate nearly everyone's (stated) reason for not commenting freely. |

Ok. So ... what's the plan?
1) Post a photo in here if you comments on it? (we kind of have that now at any given time).
2) See a photo that you'd like to comment on, open the OP of this thread, check that the photographer is on the approved/accept any comments list, and THEN comment? So much for being spontaneous, eh? Also a stickler if the photo is in the voting stage of a challenge.
Here's my plan.
1) Comment when I'm moved to do so. If the person likes my comment - awesome! If not, well ... sorry, but it is what it is. Do I care if they toggle the 'found this comment helpful' checkbox ... not really.
2) Graciously accept any comments left on photos I've entered here.
3) PM anybody that leaves a comment I don't like and give them a piece of my mind! - Ok, well not this. LOL
I tell you what ... DPC Bugs the heck out of me! Sometimes.
Working up an idea of a new thread. Probably won't be the most popular one ever, but hey, I've done that before. :-)
