I have given an opportunity of my own photography exhibition in an arts centre in my nearest town. (Taunton, Somerset, England)

I will be displaying 25 photos, mostly cows and sheep of course.

So if anyone is in the area, the exhibition runs from 10th January until the end of the month.

I am having a private viewing later in the month so get in touch if you want details of that.

Details of exhibition:

Wow, that's great Paul. Would love to have a look but I'm afraid I don't have the time to make that journey.
Only thing I can do is congratulate you with this opportunity and I hope it will be a very successful one!

Must be incredibly exciting for you, Paul! Good luck and don't get too stuck into the wine and cheese :-)

Congratulations. That is great. I'm sure the subject matter and your skill and great eye for shooting sheep and cows will be appreciated.

As I think you know, my brother and sister in law live near Taunton. My sister in law does quite a lot of photography and my brother has just started taking a course, and I think they would both enjoy coming to see the exhibit ~~ provided they can make time. They are spending quite a bit of time up in Bristol helping take care of their two year old grand-daughter while son and daughter in law cope with 8 week old twins who were born several weeks early.

I'll send them the link you provided. But please send the details of the private viewing, it would be fun if you could meet up in person!

Thanks!

Thank you all for all the kind words

I would not have got this far without DPC so thank you to you all for pushing me to take more photos and for your love of cows and sheep.

Will post some photos once it is all set up. Prints arrive today hopefully so a weekend of mounting and framing ahead of me

I always wondered why it was called Paul Street, now I know.

I hope to drop by one day.

Haha, yes I did ask them to name it Sheep Street but they refused:)

You know that I am a big fan Paul! Glad you exhibit your photos.
You seem to had them printed and framed. Who printed and on what type of paper. With a mat or attached to a white background.
Very happy for you, Congratulations

I am surrounded by boxes of frames, mounts and prints. I only heard about this opportunity a few days ago so saying it is last minute is an understatement.

However I believe I have all the ingredients now so just need to mount and frame them all - never done that before but I have YouTube

I had the printing done at a fantastic printers in my nearest city Bristol - //www.redcliffe-print.co.uk/

The prints arrived today and look really superb! I had a handful printed for A1 size frames and all the rest are 20 x 16 inches plus one panorama.

The paper details are as follows:

Professional Giclee Print Service

Fine Art Pearl

285gsm triple coated, lignin free, 100% alpha-cellulose paper. This superior fibre-based media has the look and feel of a traditional darkroom photo paper with a surface that is remarkably similar to a traditional silver gelatin double-weight photo paper.

Fine Art Baryta

A 325gsm paper, 100% alpha-cellulose with an ultra-smooth, high gloss finish. Using barium sulphate in the premium coating ensures the typical gloss that makes this paper a genuine replacement for traditional silver halide Baryta papers and lends itself perfectly to B&W prints with an extremely high dmax and rich gradations of grey as well as lustre colour images.

Just to add. Yes I have mounts to go on top of the prints and I have also purchased white backing boards for them - apart from the A1 which I hope to source tomorrow morning in local town

Thanks Paul and good luck.
I feel for you - it's a drag to do all of it but worth it. Too badd that I cannot see the show in person.
Hope you sell them all
