Amazing... Am I correct in reading into those images that the horses were nervous as heck about walking on glass that way?

Wow. But the horses look so comical to me - and their bellies so big! I like the ones where they're looking down at the camera the best :)

I ain't ABOUT to get that close to a horse's junk from beneath, thank you very much. Youthful trauma is MT excuse...

I like it! I really love the inquisitive expressions on some of their faces, they seem to be thinking "what the bleep is he dong down there?"

Not if they're seasoned performers, and as they are all at liberty - meaning no halter/leadshanks to control or restrain them - it looks like some have rubber shoes on, as metal shoes might slip on or break glass. Having said that the Friesian gelding looks like he has metal shoes on. Go figure. Going by the way that many of the horses seem to be *performing*...ie a bow or similar, they already know what they're doing. Also notice in the setup pics of the shot, they only setup black shims on two sides, not three and certainly not 4. Much easier to walk them in and onto glass. Otherwise horse might feel trapped/enclosed and panic.
