Has anyone ever received a long error message, in kind of jibberish form, when uploading an entry to a challenge? This happened to me recently, twice in succession, and I'm wondering what to make of it.
Unfortunately for me it was within a ten minute window before rollover and I missed entering due to this error. It was a largish jpeg file, trying to upload from my MAC directly into the challenge. By the time I realized it wasn't going to work, I didn't have time left to save it to my workshop and upload from there, which is what I often do. But I know the site will resize either way because I've done it. In fact, a few minutes later I tried entering the same file from the same source into a different challenge and it loaded just fine. So I don't get it! Thanks for any input.

So I guess it's safe to say that since I haven't had any response, this has not been a problem for anyone else. Ok then. My moral is try to submit sooner. Or not.

I have been unable to upload to DPChallenge with my default browser (Safari Version 10.0.3). My workaround is to open Google Chrome (Version 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit)). Chrome is faster and more efficient at uploading to DPC. At least, it simply works.

I use Chrome so I guess that's not it.

I would suggest to anyone that gets a long jibberish error message that you should do a screen capture and send that in to the admins. Being able to see the jibberish will very likely help diagnose the issue.

I wish I had done that. I was frantically trying to get my entry in so it didn't occur to me then. My mistake. Thanks.

You can test it any time on any challenge - just try to upload a random photo and if the error occurs, capture and report. If not, unsubmit.

Of course you're right. But I've submitted to a lot of challenges and I've never seen it before... obviously no one else has either. It was code (I think) and it was long and it happened twice and will probably not happen again anytime soon. I obviously, like I said, tried putting THAT file into another challenge after the fact and it worked fine. SO I'm still baffled... whatever. It happened. It's over.

Oh sorry, I missed that part. Let's just blame it on the Russians and move on then. :)
