Before I ask question, here is my work and what kind of photography I do.

Question: Should I really buy Mark IV or III is good enough and with the difference of the amount spend on lenses and lights? There is about $1400 difference in the price between the two and I am debating whether to buy 3 or 4. Need some help from your experience. I understand 4 is more latest but again the kind of work that I do, does that really justify to buy 4 and spend $1400

AND I do not do videography so video is out of discussion and consideration!

I have gone from the 6D to the 5D Mark IV and have noticed a very significant difference in the quality and control of my images. There is probably not as big a difference between the Mark III and IV. It is a personal decision whether you feel the difference is worth the cost. It may be a few years before the next upgrade. Is it worth the wait for a more significant improvement?

There was not much IQ difference between 6D and MIII, with the 6D being slightly better in low light (some say...)
There was a big difference in speed, handling, double memory card, focus points etc.

If you have the cash and the itch for it just buy it. It will make you happy and willing to do more. If you just need a second camera as I said before either 6D or MIII will do just fine.

I also jumped from 6D to 5D Mk IV. I did not consider the Mk III. The IV is in so many ways a superior machine. Even though I rarely shoot sports, I've not regretted dropping the cash for the Mk IV. The image quality has been a very significant step up from the 6D, and the AF performance is incredible. Don't underestimate the value of the DPAF live view AF, it can really make a difference when you simply cannot have your eye to the viewfinder.

Thank you guys!

This is what I was looking for to see what a person who was on 6D moved to Mark IV sees the difference. It was for $1400 so was thinking before just pour the money and then think on why did I do.

New Instant Savings

This will certainly make your decision easier (or more difficult).

Yes I saw the savings of $200 so I placed an order from Best buy with store pickup from Delaware - save another $220 from tax :)

I will share the pics when I have camera and ready for rock and roll!!

Thank you everyone for the feedback! Yes finally I bought Mark 4 and now the story :)

I got the device on 3rd and on 6th I took it out for the event and during the event after executing about 200 clicks shutter got locked and started giving me "Err" with no number. I turned it off and restarted again and camera came back to normal. After taking another 200 or so shutter got locked again with same "Err". I recycled again and after that lost Flash communication. I had to recycled flash too and then they both came back on. I didn't use the 5D after that and switched to backup camera and finished the event.

Yesterday I walked into Best buy store and ask them to replace the product as the product has some fault so now I have another 5d Mark 4. I have another event this weekend so let's see how it performs!

Never buy anything from Best Buy. They are notorious for selling flawed equipment, sometimes reboxed as new.

I've certainly heard that before. I can say, though that my feeling is if is happening, it is highly dependent on location. I know that my local store is very up-front about open-box, and I have not had a bad experience with multiple electronics items we have bought from them. We've bought four laptops from them with no issues over the past 6 years.
Now, camera equipment? That I pretty much go to B&H and don't look back.

I agree, first time I bought a camera from Best Buy otherwise I go back to B&H. It just so happen that It was available in the store for pickup. Now if this one fails then I will return it and go and buy from B&H that is my plan :D

I bought my Mark IV from B & H. I had it for less than a week and the mirror locked up. I called Canon. The said I could send it to them and they would repair it or I could go back to the seller. I called B & H and they replaced it without hesitation. The only hitch was that in order to save time in receiving the replacement, I bought the replacement immediately, returned the defective camera and waited a few days for the refund on the return.

I also thought about that route but my CC didn't have enough money to cover second body and wait for the return to be applied back to my card. that is why I went with option to replace it rather then return and buy. Also since I bought it in Delaware so I didn't pay any tax (roughly $230) so if I would have returned and buy it again then it has to be local pick up as I didn't want to drive again for an hour to pick up from Delaware so option was to replace and BestBuy said they will replace with same cost and no tax so that is it :)
