This is the Story Teller's thread, for images that moved me (and hopefully others) to words. I would like to recognize images that say something to me. Something that is more than perfect processing, or ultrasharp focus with saturated colors (though I often enjoy those, as well). Something that speaks with the image but says something beyond it.

Please join me. Find the story telling images that you loved in a challenge, ones that moved you to words or told you stories. Maybe even share the stories the images told you, or the things they helped you think, and post those here, too. Don't forget to tell folks whose images you include here (I put a ribbon on the image, hopefully before voting closes, but I'm a slacker so sometimes it's after and sometimes I won't get to a challenge at all).

This whole thing was (and is) inspired by Don posthumous and now that Deb melethia encouraged me and others to "come back" to DPC, I thought I would revive it.

So here it is. Tell us some stories . . .

Honored to be in the opening story line. Alongside two heavy hitters at that! Thanks.

Thanks for the red recognition.
I agree with your pick for blue (great pattern and comp and not just because she's my wife).

As an animal lover, as an empathetic person, and as someone who has had to deal with all too much of the angst of loved ones aging, losing their independence, and passing, this image just went straight through me to the heart.

In her description, Rachel just touches momentarily on the scene, but the story it tells me is extraordinary.

Thanks, Rachel.

Oh.....and that kitty is a real hero.

Thanks, Jeb, that's a great image, and one I didn't see (I didn't vote in that challenge). Wonderful.

I'm posting this brilliant comment, hoping that it is in the spirit of your thread:
