Ok. I'll admit I submitted this for a review during voting ... <no pun intended> I question how this entry is legal under the Standard editing rules.

It's cute and all that, but still ... what did I miss that makes this legit, because I'd love to consider editing / captures using this technique myself in the future if it is.

Thanks.

Why not ask John about it in a private message instead of whoever in a public thread? It's kinda like talking about someone who is in the room, but pretending they aren't. It's his photo, just ask him...I think you might be making some assumptions about what you're looking at.

I assume that it's actually a photo of a piece of black paper with holes and a light behind it.

Or the night sky with small LEDs at a distance.

Probably a number of ways of doing this. Even the night sky with a black piece of paper in front of it with holes in it. (you'd see the edge, but could clone that out in the new cloning world order)

Good point.

Ok. I can see that.

Last comment and I'll leave this alone. It would be nice to at least get an acknowledgement from SC when you flag / ask about a challenge entry.

I usually DO send an explanation if they turn out to be legal, but in THIS case we only got the proof a couple hours before rollover so I didn't bother. And Wendy was correct, it's pinholes in a piece of black paper taped to a window.

It would be refreshing if members didn't always assumed that SC is ignoring them....

It's kind of ironic. When I came online and opened this forum thread I checked who was online ... the only 'SC' level member logged in was langdon. :-)

Robert - Yeah, you are usually quite responsive. Lack of patience on my part - my bad.

The sc has been ignoring me. I placed my order for my own private dpc room with a wet bar and all the latest computer equipment months ago. Haven't heard anything back.

What! Sad. I have had mine for weeks now, and was very pleased last night to watch a great basketball game in comfort,
and with a tall cold one in hand.

Never fear, vawendy, your turn will come.
