Challenges open for entries: 1 Minimal, 4 Standard, and 3 Expert.

Have more to say, but it would only fan the flames, so (hooray for you) I didn't. :-)

And the Sci-Fi Book challenge is archival, in case nobody's noticed :-)

... as is the Standard FS. So, that changes the balance to 1, 3, 2.

I did wonder where that "suggestion" came from - HOWEVER - it could have waited until 'Original Artwork (Extended)' rolled off.

It is what it is. This isn't a machine here: it's a pretty spontaneous, human-fueled setup. Live with it :-)

It's really good to see things haven't changed around here.

In the never ending search for truth and meaning, this bit of research (source Urban Dictionary):
Geesh
Slang from the 50's or 60's for "Gee, Shit Happens" Often used by Catholic boys/girls or those attending private schools.
When called on what exactly it means (by nuns, priests, ministers, WHOEVER), they would explain it as "Gee, STUFF happens".
"Sister Marie, I did NOT pull Suzie Q's hair! GEESH!"

Now we all know...

I'm sorry but at the present time we are only honoring "geez" or "sheesh". Kindly make note of this change in services and ensure that future exclamations conform to acceptable usage policies.

Duly noted! :-)

I call BS.

I dunno about the exact etymology of geesh, but I do remember hearing it when I was young.

I did go to private/boarding schools and heard the word.

I *never* heard "Shit Happens" until prolly two decades later.

I'd be surprised if the aforementioned explanation has any veracity.

I *could* be wrong, though....shit happens...

holy moly, I'm with the jebman here. in fact, my inexaustible fund of esoterica suggests that "geesh" is a mispelling and misleading rendering of "j'y suis" ("...donc je suis,") pronounced by German tourists pissing out on French plonk.

Just to keep the record straight,

exclamation: Geez; a mild expression used to show surprise or annoyance.

sheesh —used to express disappointment, annoyance, or surprise

and now we have arrived at the word "redundant"

not or no longer needed or useful; superfluous.
"this redundant brewery has been converted into a library"
synonyms: unnecessary, not required, inessential, unessential, needless, unneeded, uncalled for; More
surplus, superfluous
"the system is hobbled by redundant paperwork"
antonyms: essential, necessary

I'm going to look for that long-lost brewery.
