I just upgraded to this lens.( nikon afs nikkor 70-200mm 1:2.8gII ed) I bought it used and would like some help please. I tried to find some info. online but was not looking in the right place I guess. I can hear a clicking sound which I think is the motor. When looking through the lens sometimes there is movement in the focus area inside the lens.I was shooting a baseball game today,( I had to shoot through the fence) and sometimes it didn't focus very well. I have shot like this before with my sigma 70-200 and didn't notice it as much. Is this normal for this lens? Maybe I do not have something set right? It is on a d7100. I have a 14 day return. Thank you!

It sounds like the motor in the lens might be bad...I had a 70-300 that would suddenly go in n out trying to focus then my view would start to jump around...

Yeah, noises and seeing things in the lens is not normal.

Go see a Camera repair shop, doesn't have to be Nikon, most of these guys canput your lens on the machine, check and adjust as need be, prolly best to get a full service.

My local shop stripped cleaned and adjusted my zeiss 16/80 cost about $NZ 120.00 phototronic services in Palmerston North..
