Does anyone know the true selling price of Aurora HDR? I'm trying to decide if I should try it via the "prerelease" offer rather than waiting until release and taking it for a free 30 day spin. There is a money back guarantee if you buy from Macfun...but those can be a hassle.

It looks like the selling price "might" be $99 after the release. Prerelease, with a "bundle", is $89. But it's hard to tell, they bundle in some really no-so-special bonuses that they can overprice and inflate the savings. I don't think the bonuses are worth even $10 to me.

If the list is $99, I would just wait until release and do the free trial to see if it's worth it. Often you can find 10% discount coupons anyway.

Anyone in the 'know', or have any idea?

According to the links I get in the PictureCorrect emails the pre-release price is a 64% discount.

It's actually been released to those who prepaid, as of this morning. I gotta say, that's a HELL of an HDR engine they have going. And the whole organization of it is seamless and intuitive. This is an HDR Processor that'll work very, very well for those who "don't like HDR", for which I say "Bravo"!

Yes, I'm playing with the 2 week trial right now. I didn't buy the prerelease because the $10 savings wasn't worth the hassle of asking for my money back if I didn't like it--and the bonuses didn't seem worth anything.

Looks very nice, I might add, but I've only tried it so far on a couple of images.

Unfortunately, the integration with LR -- at least how it's working for me -- leaves a lot to be desired.

You can get it to install a LR plugin, but to do HDR, LR has to create copies of the three or more pics you're combining, and then there's no "Save" in Aurora to save it back to the LR filmstrip. Then you have to delete the copies it made.

Also, the ghost removal and alignment, are subar, especially compared to LR.
