I can sure vouch for the Samsung S7 camera however I have just sold mine and picked up an iPhone 8 plus - my eyesight needed a bigger screen and I do prefer IOS for everyday simplicity.

Niall is finally getting a new camera!?! (albeit in the form of another phone) I, for one, am anxious to see the results. You didn't do too bad with the 6s.

ETA: I am also planning on upgrading my iPhone 6. I was waiting for the dust to settle before picking between an iPhone/Pixel/Samsung...

hopefully i won't get too uninteresting with a new camera ;-)

@mark: i'm pretty sure i'm gonna be getting the pixel. i haven't quite made up my mind yet however. the camera is a big factor in the phone, and it appears to be very good.

Ive got a Motorola Moto G4+ and it has a pretty good camera. I've done a couple of challenge entries with it that have done decently to quite well. The budget android phone I previously had sucked, however. Very poor dynamic range.

Supposedly the Pixel 2 has the top camera right now as far as 'phones are concerned. According to DXO at least.

Hahahaha ... looking forward to seeing how/if that changes things up. Love your work.

On the plus side, you have the best record of anyone for this phone on this site.

Out of curiosity: why the switch and not sticking with Apple. Apparently the new processor in the new generation of iPhones is by far th best in any mobile phone. Mobile phone cameras are pretty much the same nowadays.

Going to Apple was an experiment. It was fine but I preferred the android experience. Hoping that experience hasn't changed much over the last few years :-)

Wait, you developed an apk for DPC. It still is on googleplay... I used it before and was nice.

I am on Android and prefer it to Apple for several reasons. That doesn't mean that Apple is bad :)
