I have been asked to take some 'commercial' images for a small local engineering company. The intention is to use then in small portfolio type publications and a new website.
Has anyone done this type of commercial photography before? Any tips will be really appreciated, not sure even what to charge (if anything?). Any links you know about that show off commercial engineering work to give me some ideas would be great...

what type of Engineering ?
Civil (Bridges & roads), Chemical ? Hitech/Electronics ? Software ?
Objects to be built or just alot of paper work ? |

That's my firstquestion! No real details at the moment as I havn't yet talked to the owner, but small machine component production I beleive.

I know an archicture photographer - $2500 a day is a starting wage. plus expenses. and i imagine plus prints.
So you can't probably charge that, but don't go too cheap.

Blimey, that would be nice, might put them off as it is the first of this type I would have done...
I was thinking more of an hourly rate charge to a maximum of 2 hours (only a small company), with a bit on top for post processing, supply on CD.
