Here's some examples from the first few pages of the "Nude" photo gallery. Why are these categorized as "Nude"?

I am not trying to be nitpicky, But Nude, Does not mean the person has to be buckass naked.

Nude or Nudity refers to a state of exposure, being completely or partially without clothing.

I know some of the photos in that gallery are definately in there to drum up views. But some of them are legit even though they are not completely Naked. If you are wearing a long sleaved turtle neck. Your hands and face are exposed there for they are nude. So it really is in ones own view of what is nude and what is not.

Glad2badad I think that a few of the ones you posted are implying nudity which in its own way is a form of nude. But I am having a hell of time trying to figure out what that tree is in there for. Unless it has no bark, which is not apparent in the photo, the old car I can sort of see that as being stripped to a point which would also imply nude. The Monkey isn't wearing any clothes so that would also classify as a nude, The rest have some form of nudity so I believe they qualify, However, That being said I prefer to see all or none. At least one boobie would be nice. lol

I think I have put some implied nudes in there before, but I agree with Glad, half of them are just there for higher views, silly

What got my motor started on this really is many times after a challenge is over I'll be looking thru the results and see the 'Hidden due to content' filter image. It baffles me because I'll have voted on the challenge and know that there wasn't anything 'Nude', yet there's that 'Hidden...' filter blocking something that probably shouldn't be.

BTW - I was a strong advocate for the filtering, and overall I think it works just fine. However, if you read the OP of this thread it sounds like DPC attempted to address the issue of people going for higher views using the 'Nude' technique/categorization. Worked for awhile, but seems to have fallen off the SC radar.

Keep in mind we don't "patrol" the images uploaded each day. If you see one, please let us know and we will deal with it. It's not that it's "off our radar," if we see one while viewing, then we deal with it. Otherwise we depend on you to point us to the questionable ones.

Good point. Actually, I have pointed out a few of those previously...

I know you guys are busy and flagging them to 'Nude' when needed (the opposite of this problem) is actually done quite quickly.

Ok. Here's an interesting scenario. I put my filter to block adult content back on and now I'm seeing the following when I open this forum thread. Why are some of these images blocked & some not, when they are all categorized as Nude (even though I don't think they should be) at the moment?



I cleared out my browser cache (files, history, etc...), closed the browser for good measure, and relogged into DPC.

Simple: the ones you can see aren't flagged for nudity, and therefore not blocked according to your preference. SC can flag or unflag, but have no access to move images from one gallery to another.

Just learned something new. I thought it (flagging for nude) was automatic when an image was put in the 'Nude' category. Seems like that would be the best approach IMO. So you have to manually update EVERY photo that should be 'Hidden due to content'?! That means they only get flagged when brought to your attention or noticed by SC at some point?

I thought it was automated for the Nude category, although I have flagged some manually. Maybe the auto-flag is avoided if an image is placed in one category and then changed to another?
