But I hope everyone has a great time and collects good photos and memories to share with the rest of you folks who are unable to join in.

Come to think about it, everyone could join in by taking one or more pictures in their own style this weekend.
Then on the 16th and beyond we could post our own commemoration of this 10th anniversary.
We don't really have to GTG to do this little thank you to Langdon & Company for providing such a great deal of entertainment over the last ten years.

Hey, maybe you could start a thread for a Seattle GTG and see if more are interested!
It sure is beautiful country up your way.

There are several threads on the boards where folks are organizing area GTGs
for DPC's 10th anniversary - January 14-15, 2012.

Just a bump to remind those who have not started to think about an area GTG,
the time is getting close.

There's a nice, unpretentious motel around the corner from us on Cape Cod. I bet we could get a great bulk rate on a few rooms in mid-January, which is, as far as I'm concerned, a GREAT time to visit the Cape. Especially if we're lucky enough to get a good storm. Anyone interested in doing the New England portion on the Cape?

R.

Unfortunately they are closing that one down for the winter on December 3rd. It will be possible to find other motels quite close by that remain open, but I'd have to look...

I would love to go to America and meet as many friends as possible. But I am not sure if America is south or east of Rome.

Any of you Coloradoans in? Hmmm?

I'm in though.

Or we could meet in the middle? Connecticut has some cool landscapes, I'm sure. I'd prefer something with lots of people (or even a tag-along model) for portrait opportunities 'cause I suck at landscapes! That said, I may or may not be in the area in January because that's when that Yuri Arcurs thing is going on.

I couldn't get to Portland, but I'd be up for a Seattle one

Well, I know when I've been thrown under the bus, rofl! Ok, we need to get a TX thread going and see how much interest we can garner! Lots of DPCers in the area...can include OK and LA if they want to show (or anyone that wants to for that matter!)

This would be the easy option. But Florida in January is quite tempting...

I know, I've even been offered a place to stay! LOL! Right Julianne? Seriously, if things turn around here (crossing my fingers but not counting on it) then I'll be booking a flight. It all depends on hubby getting a TWIC card.

Oh, I can just see it now: "Occupy Yosemite!" "Occupy the Grand Canyon!" "Occupy Fort Sumter!" ROFL

I'd be up for Seattle and/or possibly could trip down to Portland, depending on how many we can amass where.
