The setting for this is "non-aligned" vs "aligned" ... when you have the clone tool selected look under the "Options" palette ... |

You can have the cross track your mouse movements or not. It's an option on the toolbar. I usually have it track over a few movements, then alt-click again, but leave the source fixed if the source area is too small.

The source is clicked right, but when I move the clone and click the area that I need to fix, that cross goes out side that area where I clicked the oringal source to be and then turns it that color following that pattern LOL

Always look up what you want to do on YouTube. Chances are, you'll find a video of it. |

Hold the ALT key, left-click where you want the clone "source" to be, then release the ALT key, move and left click where you want to clone to. |

I have Cs2, this issue happens when I use my clone tool and I need to clean up some spots however the cross is so far away from the object I am working on its screwing it up making that color of where the cross is.. the area I am working on is very small..
I have tried searching for help to make this cross as close to the circle as possible but I am not sure on how to change that width.. Hope this makes sense LOL! |
