Equipment: 5 Nikon, 4 Canon

6 Wins (5 Official) - 1 Loss

Ribbon Diversity
:
4 Blue, 4 Red, 2 Yellow, 12 Other Top 10

Team Success Stories:
- 1 First Ever Blue
- 1 First Ever 7.0+ (the 2nd came two weeks later)
- Two team victories where other team scored higher than 92%
- Scored over 90% ever week, including scoring 92% during our only loss
- 8 of 9 teammates contributed a score during competition
- 7 of 9 teammates averaged above their seeded ranking (others were only 2 points below theirs)

And what did we do on the off challenges?…

- Collected 4 Blue and 3 Red ribbons, including finishing 1-2 in the 2015-07 Free Study and 1st in the DPL Hidden Gem.

Quotes? There were a lot, but the one that sticks with me is...

“My wife is going to kill me when she learns what I did to her Pottery Barn throw pillow.”

I'd like to think that we could have given Glasseye a run for their money in the finals if we had made it through and weren't running in "unofficial" mode this last week. That's not saying we weren't trying, we just weren't all participating or worrying too much about getting a shot in). Regardless, that finish is hard to argue with.

Best team evah!! Fagedaboudit!!

And one rookie to the show was just along for the ride, but learned SO MUCH from this amazing team!!! (I was the 9th teamster that didn't contribute a score during competition...) :P I did average above my seeded ranking though, since I came in a #DIV/0, LOL

Off challenge, they helped me finally bust into a 6 ranking, and top 20 finish in the "Gems" challenge, simply by allowing me to watch and learn as they posted all of their amazing shots!

Congrats to the DPL winners, especially Glasseye for taking home the championship, and all the rest!

(and a throwback to the quote BDH mentioned... I'm not sure if I was laughing harder about the pic, or the quote about the Pottery Barn pillow, but I still chuckle about both to this day. Even harder when there's a mention that feathers are still showing up all over the house!)

Thanks, Godfather, for the invite, and HUGE THANKS to every single member of the team. You've helped me learn and grow, and that's why I came!

Thanks everyone for the participation and all the fun! I really think the DPL should be a constant on the site. It's been such a motivator for me and I wish was still going.

If the image is in the Workshop folder you should be able to right-click to download, but not if it's in a "regular" Portfolio folder -- then you get the 1-pixel GIF covering the image.

Any particular section or just overall? Link to full size //images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/25000-29999/29011/orig/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1166040.png

I know some browsers might resize. Is the browser view set to %100? Clicking the photo (+) should bring it up to full size. It's not super wide , it's as much as the export gave me.

Congrats to all the players, and winners. In my book, everyone's a winner. Some just get more bling :)

Not sure what the status on the official thread is, but it should be forthcoming.

BTW, Hit Squad's Medal Count was 4 Blue, 4 Red and 2 Yellow, w/ 12 other Top 10's. ;)

Just take my post and click "quote" ... copy the ribbon you want and paste into the "Bio" section under "Preferences" ... or wherever you like.

Thanks for the thought. I'm notorious for posting unlinked links ;) . Most of my online posts are re-edited.

Thank you, Tate! :)

For the fun of it. Tried setting up an infographic for Glasseye. I think the quotes section is gold. Would be fun to see the other teams' chatter too.

Tate, when I saw those 3rd and 4th place awards you made I felt genuinely envious. They're quality stuff, man.

Yeah, they are pretty cool, for sure.
Well, did we ever fight you guys all the way to the end, and it may be you walked off with the trophies this time, but, heh, heh,
looked who designed 'em.
(Well, we have to crow about something!)
Got to say, if the camaraderie among your team members was as great as it was among ours, this DPL was a huge success.
Grand to know all of you!

And how does the expression go? "Wait until next time!"

The most important thing about the DPL, as I always say and bang on & on about it, is that it brings people together, gets the site buzzing again and gives us all something to do. I thought there were some incredible achievements made from many team members, personal bests, first ribbons etc, it was a joy & an honour to be a part of it all and winning it was a nice cherry on the cake, thanks for your congratulations.

Let's get it rolling again soon.

+1 it's brilliantly made!
