Not to worry, shanksware, it never occurred to me, either :)

I knew what the challenge was immediately, but googled the individual words looking for inspiration. It sounds like I was very lucky not to google the whole title.

Ditto. A good tip for crusaders: ALWAYS question your initial outrage and explore and eliminate all of the more LOGICAL possible explanations before launching the missiles.

Welcome back Art Roflmao, though I am apparently late to the party.

Thanks Shanks. :)

If hahn23 was playing this up as a joke, then my hat's off to him - even more so if he then entered the challenge with his "interpretation" of the topic. But I honestly think the backwards spelling went right by him and he jumped to the wrong conclusion, which is probably why we haven't heard from him since I realized what happened and asked the question.

While this has been entertaining, it would be nice if Richard would explain and/or apologize for the misunderstanding.

For the record, I didn't Google the term before my first comment. I wasn't reacting to the "first term on Google when you search for slooF lirpA". Indeed, I now regret looking at that after reading of the controversy. I was officially a victim of the April Fool's joke. It did not even occur to me that it could be an April Fools joke as it was 10:00pm for me on March 31st. You win Langdon.

Oh, for goodness-sake, we've been doing these April Fools challenges off and on ever since this site originated. .

One I remember is this one dating back to 2008.

If you're industrious, you can find others.

PS - and I do hope Hahn23 is spoofing us. as posthumous suggests..

Unless we've all been tumbling down the rabbit hole for quite some time.

Mind: Blown. I should have known it was THEM. At least now we know who the mole rabbit is.

Wait... you DID know that it is April Fools spelled backwards, didn't you?

That's what i'm thinking as well. I also kind of suspect that the Urban Dictionary definition that was Richard's first point of call is just an April Fool in itself. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever to be an actual slang term. It must be a kind of rick-rolling.

Ah, you may be right about that. I bet they get a lot of mileage out of it, too. :)
