You enter the date from the three drop=down lists under the Details text box. I guess if your file doesn't have EXIF data the default is the upload date. My workflow doesn't preserve the EXIF so I must never have noticed if the date was extracted from that. |

| well, I didn't enter the exposure date, I never have. (and how could you, by the way?) so presumably it is indeed entered automatically, from whatever in the file, if not the exif, which I think SHOULD be required by the way, because youth wants to know. |

| Hmmm ... usually that date is automatically considered (and pre-entered) the same as the upload date unless you change it -- I didn't think the date was extracted from the EXIF (since EXIF isn't required on the entry file). |

| oh. so I didn't enter a date, the date was automatic: taken, I presume, from my exif, as were the details (ISO, A and S, and camera). |

| don't know about that, but the problem happens when I try to retitle, which I always do, and save the original file name in the details box. so I renamed my file, but still, wtf. |

| What date did you enter in the drop-down on the submission page ... as we (especially Hawaiians) have found out, those drop-downs are prone to inducing incorrect entries.... ... |

| I took a photo today and was informed that it was outside the challenge dates. And no, my camera date is correct. |
