There is a quote button top right of each post. If you hit that, you get the original post inserted in italics, as above... ;-)

Thanks BIG AL. It was too obvious for me to see.

In about three days after taking these pics ALL of the trees in the area lost their leaves...I'm just happy I managed to get out while they were still around!

: outtake

: entry

Had a hard time deciding, but I think I made the right choice.

Another consideration from the same location:
Had concerns that the foreground grass was distracting.

Two shots from another location. First of these two I really liked but thought the fence was a distracting leading line as it takes the viewer away from the subject tree.

Any thoughts or feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Edit - Forgot to mention that for some reason I had this notion stuck in my head that I needed to include some foreground element to give the entire image some context/scope.

Well I didn't come in DEAD last lmao. But here's what the photo would have looked like had I left it alone even after resizing. I received 35 comments all which were helpful if not rather amusing since I knew what the problem was. Don't ask why I entered what I did lmao, because I'm still trying to figure out what I was thinking!

That is the untouched shot. Obviously after cropping and resizing it it became pixelated. Ah well. I'll be laughing about this one months from now.

I had a hard time deciding which image to submit. Finally I decided upon this:

//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=253659

Here is my outake

//www.fotosidan.se/gallery/viewlarge.htm?ID=522035&target=_blank

Did I decide upon the right one?

Without question, you made the right choice.

Well, I'm sure I picked the right entry, but I wanted to share another shot looking 180 degrees behind the one I entered.

I got really lucky after driving 2 hours and not knowing what the clouds would be like. It's November for crying out loud!
