3 & 1, in that order.
I find the word "photography" hard to read in #'s 9, 10 & 12.

I like number #1 the best, the simplicity does it for me.
Allthough the font is hard too read, perhaps a thinner font with a bit darker twist to it. Perhaps color #444444
The others are not working for me,
the fonts are too bold and hard to read (first impression, which counts the most I guess)
Goodluck with it!

Ditto. Even if it's without the & sign. |

Wow, thanks everyone for your great input!
@ Bear: Great idea! I'll play around a little more with that stlye, thank you!
@ Palmetto and Macpapas: Yes, it is two different people (J= Joseph and K= Katherine) I think I'll probably play around more with the & signs. JK does remind me too much of "just kidding".
@ Jaded Youth: Yeah, I had the same thought- probably where the idea came from subconsiously.
Again, huge thank yous to everyone! And feel completely free to try something of your own if you feel so inclined. :)

I like them all except 4, 9, and 12. I think the simplicity of these is perfect.

I like what bear came up with. i also like number 3. number 8 looks like a clothing line logo , its a bit too close for comfort you might get in trouble.. also if your initials are j.k then the "&" sign will make you seem like you have a partner. |

#1 and #11...they work best as logos...easy readability...easily reproduced in print...any of the ones with overlapping characters can cause havok with certain projects (depending on where you plan to use it)...the tilting of the 'k' adds a little fun, but still keeps a professional look...from one designer to another, good job ;-) |

I think the logo should represent the type of business you want to run and clientle you want to attract. If you are going to concentrate on family portraits, than #11 is good. If you want to be more commercial/professional, then #3 or #9 work.
You also have one showing J&K, which implies two people, whereas JK implies someone's initials. |
