Ah that was torturous. Most of yesteday the score was 5.97-5.98 and I was hoping it would just creep up to 6 but dived to 5.92. I had my fingers crossed for a top 30 and came 32nd. But a PB nonetheless and a couple of useful comments to take on board.

I really hate the feeling I get when right as the voting is coming to the end and some knocks my score way down with a 3.
I was up to 5.7536 @ the 199th vote and at 200 I dropped to 5.7400 .....thats a kick in the gut! =( |

| This is the most I've been checking my score because it has already exceeded my expectations and it is now sooo close to a score that I didn't think I'd achieve until I'd learnt a lot more about photography! |

This has been an agonizing week and I haven't posted to this thread until now. I really like my entry. I know it isn't a winner, but I'd give it higher than it's getting right now.
However, comment number six, from an acclaimed, multi-ribbon winning artist was
- wait for it -
complementary!
I am now one-for-six in the "it doesn't suck" department. And that's good enough for me. Five comments were somewhat negative. My wife and daughter both said "DON'T ENTER IT, PLEASE!"
But I can now proclaim to all the nay-sayers - pphhhttttlltttpptt! (sorry, I can't pronounce that.)
oops - on second look, comment number three was good. But that just means I'm two-for-six. pphhttttt!

Lucky you, I got "Crap"
Interestingly, the commentator has only been registered since the 15th Oct, is supposedly 15 and is yet to submit his own photo - so it makes it hard to qualify that comment. |

My photo is doing exactly as expected. It was a last minute idea. I bought a Nikon D300 the day before and just had to enter something with it =)
