Why is that? Macro and Close Up shots certainly have shallow DOF and fit the challenge don't they? Also, everyone in the challenge is entitled to shoot a macro, close up, wide angle or zoom scene so it's a matter of preference.

so apparently when im in a super cranky mood i am a lot more honest about my voting, which is a shocker cause id just love to throw out a few ones just to spread the cheer... a lot more 6s that normal, as i stayed much truer to my voting style that i normally do.

It always matters. If the image is a good image...then these low voters are hurting the score....regardless of when the votes come in.....low votes can hurt. If an image is an average image....well okay...you would expect it. But low voting for unjustified reasons is just plain pathetic.
